The Solution
The Challenge

MagnaCerta is the key to interoperability

The Good News

There is consensus that W3C’s Verifiable Credentials are the core open standards to be used for Digital Health Certificates.

The Risk

As multiple frameworks gain market share, stakeholders, including Health Service Providers are at risk of having to choose a single framework, or alternatively, implement multiple applications and complex integrations in order to cover more ground.

The solution

By deploying the MagnaCerta service, a Health Service Provider will have a single solution to issue Digital Health Credentials, while MagnaCerta ensures that those credentials are reliably delivered to the different frameworks, ensuring necessary translation of formats and protocols.

MagnaCerta’s comprehensive modular solution offers a set of applications and a service layer designed to meet the needs of certificate issuers, verifiers and consumers alike.

The Certificate

The Solution

Open Standards:

Conforms to open and interoperable standards, including the W3C Verifiable Credentials, as well as SMART Health Cards.

Secure:

Cryptographic proof ensures that certificates are tamper-evident.

Portable and practical:

Certificates can be carried in a digital wallet, or on paper, through the use of 2D Barcodes.

Practical:

Does not rely on exotic technologies like blockchains or heavy infrastructure. Certificates are self-contained and not stored in any cloud.

Use Case Example

Use Case example

Consumer takes a COVID-19 test or gets a vaccine.

Use Case example

Consumer is issued a tamper-proof certificate which can be carried either on paper or digitally and is not stored in a cloud. The certificate shows test results, or that a vaccine was administered.

Use Case example

Consumer can then port the certificate into other frameworks like CommonPass, or show it directly to a verifying authority that uses MagnaCerta.

Use Case example

Verifying authority scans certificate and is able to validate its authenticity, issuing authority, and compliance with access policy.
